Snapped a section of the sloped rockery area, which was originally part of the bund area..separated now by a short ivy covered fence which is a little further up.
Springing into action..

Hi Julia, beyond the fence is the bund but we did plant shrubs on the bund over the years to keep it looking nice. OH went up and dug out all the brambles by hand. Others just try to keep them in check.

Thanks Julia, it was an arduous task even if he was in his 40s at the time. Think the almost vertical slope part of the struggle! He is very handy I have to admit!
Thank you Karen, some of the rocks, massive bricks etc were already around up on the bund, we moved them down to the rockery.

That is an amazing part of the garden Kate and was well worth sorting out ! I am still trying to get bramble out the ground around the big cherry tree !

Thank you Rose. I find it really enjoyable keeping it maintained now. Bramble is a truly nightmarish plant isn’t it! It’s those suckers they just seem to pop up in all places!
