Beautiful clematis, Shirley. it has a very pretty name too.

Karen, this has climbed up to the top of the arbour some years and is in the middle of the garden so receives sun pretty much all day. It flowers Spring to early Summer, repeating in late Summer. Taylors site say any aspect, but then say shade loving! Reaches 6-8ft. They are on for sale at £10 ... but I didn't tell you that!!
Thanks Kate, it has five more fat buds waiting to burst open any day now.

Thanks Shirley. I might try it. My only challenge at the back is the soil is mostly rubble, which is not great for Clems. But I might be able to find a good spot for it. :)

Dotty, as the days have passed, this flower has become whiter, the markings have faded but another three have opened up.
