I had a panic attack when I realised how large it could get rapidly and tried to move it, but killed it. Now I've got another, put in a more appropriate place. Love them.

Mine grows in the shelter of a stone wall for the first four feet. It is east facing. It is sheltered from morning sunshine by the Phormium to the east of it. I keep saying, then forgetting that I need to take cuttings. I would be very unhappy if I lost it. The one in Suntrap grew against a west facing wall to a height well over 15'.

Thank you for showing this Bjs. It has to be one of my favourites. I first saw it at Suntrap a NTS property on the outskirts of Edinburgh where I volunteered as a gardener one day a week. The Head Gardener John Smith had a passion for propagating the lovely plants to share the joys with others. Mine flowered late last year as well as in the Spring so I am hoping that has not depleted its energy. I have lots of buds showing promise. Mine is way over 10'.
