I have never grown them before, but they have thrived in my pots this year so I will certainly grow them again. The local garden centre has them in hanging baskets so I might try that next year

As long as you put them in a heated greenhouse for the winter theyll be fine.

Dont forget to take some heel cuttings from them place the cuttings in a glass of water till you see the roots then pot them up and there you are.

never tried doing a heel cutting but I was reading up on it the other day so maybe I will give it a go. thanks

I grew coleus from seed two years ago and they did very well. I planted some in the flowerbeds and it made a nice change The only problem is that the slugs seem to like them. Coleus come in such wonderful colours and you can have them indoors as well in pots.

That's the wonderful thing about Coleus, each leaf is a potential plant!! And they are very forgiving if you forget to water them occasionally. Beautiful example, Newtogardening.
