There you can see its tree like growth habit Lori.
We've had a week of rain and cold winds, so it's not looking so open and bright as it would normally..
Have a look at Lady Emma Hamilton now Lori it's very similar to Lady of Shalott...

A great view through the rose to the church.

I agree the church in the background makes it look idyllic ...

Yes fab fragrance Ba, i do feel,I should have planted it at the back of a border as it is very tree like with arching branches....
Thanks Ange and Amy, it's a lovely church, the site dates back to 1213. Jackdaws spend much of their day perched on the pinnacles and sometimes swoop down into the garden..:))

Just thought, wouldn't this make a fabulous painting, so perfectly balanced. Or if you don't fancy doing that you could blow it up. It's certainly worthy of a wall:-)

BA - I thought you were referring the action to the church for a moment there! Misread your meaning!!

Haha...yes Ange, that crossed my mind...:O/
Do you think it would Ba? That would keep me busy all winter..:)) it's a lovely idea tho, thank you for that..

Is it catching? Room for one more??
11 Jul, 2020
Oh yes Ba....he certainly won't! Well and truly booted out!
Do you think you'll choose another room Ba, or accept their decision and be frogmarched to that very small one, do you remember with the north facing window overlooking the brick wall? How I loved your paintings of very detailed bricks in every hue...:))
Most certainly Ange, quite a little holiday we had there, one never to be forgotten.. I'm sure they'll be able to squeeze you in, quite literally. But first my dearie, you have to espy hooded Rosie in the picture above...

Oh, I saw Hooded Rosie. I just wondered if going crackers was catching as I've definitely been feeling stir crazy and was relieved to hear that I wasn't the only one.
As for the rest, I have no idea what you're both talking about! Maybe some things are best kept under wraps...

It was a bit of fun that went on for ages Ange, we ended up in the funny farm, and still it went on! That was a long time ago, we used to create stories and everyone joined in..:))
Hooded Rosie is certainly there isn't she..:(( I checked earlier and there she was between the stems of Aconitum, pocketing the seeds...I shall have to look out!

I had a look this evening at A Little Lost In Somerset, before I knew it hours had passed, not to be recommended, 'though I did laugh out loud at times. You had to be there I think. Do you realise it was 2010!!! Anget would have fitted in well:-))

I just looked up the blog you're referring to : It goes on forever, a bit like "Eastenders", constant meandering and never getting to the point!!
12 Jul, 2020
I forgot what it was called! Going to have a look and a laugh....:))
