I had to laugh at that comment, DD. I am sure I am turning into my Mother with my gardening preferences. She didn't do 'subtle'; the brighter, the better. I'm heading that way and not by design!

I do like Gladioli but find they're over too soon ... the very hot weather hasn't helped them at all!

Thunderstorms with rain forecast from 9pm tonight ... that should cool things down a bit!

A few drops last night.....but still horribly humid here....promised rain at 9 am.....then 10 then 11...12....1. 2.......still waiting 🤨

It's raining here at 3.30pm ... hooray! Just stood at the open back door and breathed in the fresh air ... :o)

We had a lovely shower this morning.....it has freshened everything up....including me!

It didn't rain for long enough to soak the soil though ... put a trowel in and it's dry as ever a few inches down!

Rained most of the day so a good wetting thankfully....

Excellent. Forecast is for thunder storms tomorrow ... they never seem to be in our area though!

Dotty, there were just two lightning flashes, followed by thunder, earlier today. Some rain, but after digging a hole for a Pittosporum, the ground is bone dry after about two inches depth ... :o(
