We’ve been having a lot of heat and it’s been lovely, but, not great to work in!
We had an absolute torrential downpour yesterday morning, then it cleared and the sunshine returned!
Cooler today..muggy though.

I love a good thunderstorm now and then. I have to drench my garden every morning so it doesn't wither away in this heat. My tomatoes and peppers love this stifling heat and a good storm would cool things down a give me a break.

Have you tried Tithonia, yet, Bathgate? I love zinnias too, and the tithonia (Mexican Sunflower) looks very like the zinnia but is very tall... great as a backdrop for the zinnias. I love a bed of zinnias... makes a person optimistic!

Yes I have tried the Mexican Sunflower but they didn't do well and that's totally my fault. I'll keep it in mind for next year. Thanks Lori.

Our weather has been exceptional... more like the summers of my youth (many years ago) warm sunny humid days and thunderstorms and rain overnight. The whole garden just pops with growth and blossom. Everything seems bigger this year too... hope you get the rain you need.

Thanks Lori all we have is the 'promise' of rain - promises promises. Now I sound like that margarine commercial. I hope it comes soon.
