Variegated Sedum

Variegated Sedum

This Sedum was gifted to My by Shirley tulip. I've now got 4 plants scattered throughout the garden. Thank you Shirley tulip for such a wonderful plant!

That’s lovely to see. Generous Shirley sent me a couple of these too, but they haven’t flowered yet. Maybe I should have put them somewhere sunnier?

Well done, it's 'Autumn Charm' I believe and divides up quite easily.

Sheila, I don't remember sending some of this Sedum to you! Are you sure it was me?

Well, someone sent me two variegated Sedum, and I thought it was you but could easily be mistaken 🙂

Sheila, I didn't mean that to come across so harshly as it now reads to me! I keep a book of plants/seeds sent and received (I know, a bit OCD) and don't have this Sedum as being sent to you. Then again, my memory is fading fast ... :o)

No worries Shirley. You’re doing the right thing ... I only keep a record of things sent 😕.

That's good enough Sheila ... enjoy the Bank Holiday ... even if it is a bit chilly today!

Thanks Shirley ... just had a change from my regular baking (your apricot cake) and made an Austrian coffee cake for OH’s birthday tomorrow 🙂

And we’re lucky - sunny and warm here, so I’ve been taking all sorts of cuttings. Hope they strike (is that the right term?)!

Then your OH must be a Virgoan, same as me (last week) so I would love to join him for a slice of coffee cake please, ha ha! Happy birthday wsihes to him.

We had lunch out by the river Arun today, not too crowded in the restaurant either.

I use 'strike' for when cuttings have taken ... currently have Penstemon and Bowles's Mauve on the go.

Thanks Shirley - hope you had a lovely birthday; how lovely to have lunch out by a stretch of water.

The cake was delicious and very easy: make Victoria sponge; when cool pierce lots of holes with a fork, then pour over half a pint of strong coffee mixed with 3 teaspoons of sugar and 3 teaspoons of Kahlua (or brandy). Cover with double cream and toasted almonds. x

It was lovely Sheila, Swans swimming by, boats cruising along and the meal was excellent.

Oh my, that cake sounds amazing. Perhaps a little too much sweetness for me though, it would sure raise the blood glucose levels!

Well, it SOUNDS sweet, but I don't have a 'sweet tooth' and like it very much!

Sheila, sending you a PM ...
