My mango tree is growing like crazy! It put on 13” of growth in 4 days! It’s loving the extremely hot weather we’re having here in San Diego. Photo taken September 24, 2020.

Is that the seedling Keit?
I've been picking more Mangoes..I really should just pick the Ataulfo clean..those fruit are not going to get larger. Plus why feed wild animals? Where ripe one was, is now a bare seed on the ground!

Mango is my favorite fruit. I’ve been eating many. This is the Keitt variety season from the Coachella Valley northeast of San Diego. They’re the best mangoes I’ve ever eaten and I’m from Hawaii. The mangoes weight 3 - 5 lbs...very large, delicious and juicy, too.

Stan,
Yes, it’s a Keitt mango tree seedling. It’s loving the 90’s and 100 degree heat!
You definitely don’t want to share those beautiful mangoes with animals! LoL!

What an extraordinary amount of growth! My wife & I bought a few mangos last year & I had to look up on the internet how to prepare them as I had no idea! We both enjoyed them very much!

Sounds like you are one lucky fellow, Andy! Thanks for the interesting info too. I’ve googled this variety.

Balcony,
Mature mango trees can grow much faster.
I love fresh chilled mangoes, they’re the best!

You’re welcome.
I had a grafted Keitt mango tree a long time ago. It died because I gave it too much nitrogen fertilizer and it was drowned out by other trees. Mango trees like full blistering, hot sun. Which we’re still getting here in San Diego.
