The Victory Nelson's flagship. We visited this several times when we lived on the I.O.Wight.

I find it amazing that the men who sailed in her survived the rough seas living as they did and when they fought the battles it must have been awful.
It's a credit today to the people who look after and maintain her condition so that we can get a glimpse of the past history.

It is a wonderful experience to walk around this ship. The conditions for the men were so cramped and uncomfortable - what an existence! You cannot imagine how dreadful it must have been.

I agree with you Wildrose. Thanks Kate. When we lived on the I.O.Wight we saw lots of ships coming and going. We relied on the ferries for some of our shopping over at Portsmouth as in those days there weren't the shops like they have today.
