Three years, Siris. I found it when I went to the Picton Garden in Worcs. to buy asters. I had never seen this type and loved it on sight. The leaves go blackberry-coloured in certain conditions. It's in a pot because there's nowhere suitable for it in the borders! Thrives on neglect.

You are lucky the VWs have kept away.......we lost all of our coloured ones.....
Picton Nurseries is well worth a visit.....
