Well, we don't need the 'diversion' so much in the summer, do we? It's a treat for the eye. I would like to get more 'permanence' into my plot.

Are you considering more statement evergreens?

Well, I have the usual holly, pittosporum, berberis mix. And a couple of upright yews. Not coming up with much else that is happy in alkaline soil.
