He's our Mistle thrush Anget. He comes every day and his Mrs. sees off all the Blackbirds.

Lucky you. We never see thrushes, that's why I assumed it was a winter visitor. Cherish him and his missus. It doesn't take much for them to disappear, sadly. We had 2 families visiting where I lived 20 years ago. Within 5 years they had all vanished.

I make sure that they have food and water every day Anget. The Blackbirds are fighting each other for territory. We have twenty sparrows that live in the hedgerows around, about fourty starlings about, Hedge sparrows, bluetits, and a fine Robin. It's the Birdwatch this next weekend so we will be at the window for an hour looking out to see who visits.

Fieldfare or redwing? Either way, a lovely pic.
