Yes these typically bloom during the winter months

I’ve seen them bloom here in winter in the Botanical Building (it’s the lattice house in Balboa Park).

Aren't they amazing? I would love to grow these in my house, but they are hard to find and I'm sure they'll be very expensive, lol

Where are these orchids growing? I thought they were growing outside in summer.

These are at the New York Botanical Garden. They're in the 'Crystal Palace' where they created an artificial rain forest.

I found 1 orchid shop in Manhattan. The starting price is around $45.00 for the small ugly one. I also found the orchid society on Long Island, maybe they can direct me.

These orchids are usually sold here for 25.00 to $30.00.
