That's a blooming baby. Somebody posted one like 3 or 4 meters tall at the Huntington on a board- I forget which one.
I have a very young'in in front of my home..might have to move it out of the shade. Was in sun...but things in front are faster growers it turned out.

These are supposed to get huge. It is in the sun for most of the day, but I put it where the Pittosporum trees in the back and to the left block a lot of the wind. That is a Alcantarea imperialis on the left - the giant bromeliad that should be even taller.

Ah jeez,How did I miss the Alcantarea? A red one too. On my wish list Wylie. I did see one for sale..but it was so green,I had my doubts it would get like yours even in full sun. I have this tiny plot of land..and so many of my plants have large to huge leaves. Can't help it!
