About 3 years old now, from a stem cutting with Euphorbia robbiae and variegated weigela just coming into leaf.

Siris, what time of year did you take the cutting please? I would love to try with the Camellia I inherited.

SHIRLEY, probably Springtime, i can't really remember. The 'cuttings' were shoots arising from the root, just under the soil. I cut them off there with a sort of heel.

Thanks Siris . . . that's very helpful.

Good luck, SHIRLEY, they do take time to root though. If you have a small shoot emerging from near the base take off a small vertical slither of the outer and pile soil around it, keep that area watered and it might root. If it does detach it and pot it up.
