its the yellow tree paeony. the flowers are about 6-9" across. There are lots of buds this year. but it needs pruning to keep it in check.

They will be very beautiful, Eileen! You’ll have a real crop of flowers this year. OH’s mum has several of these too. Different colours. They were one of his Dad’s favourites.
