The Indian Hawthorn is flowering everywhere this time of year. This one is in my front yard. Photo taken from my neighbor’s yard on March 28, 2021.

What a beauty, Andy! Gorgeous colour and blooms too. Agree with Ange - a striking hawthorn in flower, shared by both of you. Lucky neighbours have it for free!

This is one of the most overused shrub, tree in California. Lol! It’s everywhere, but it does have beautiful flowers. There’s white and lighter pink varieties.
I have seedlings popping up everywhere. I’m constantly pulling them out.

Although a different tree we also have lots of white, mostly, though occasionly light pink, Hawthorn trees. There is a cultivated variety that has double flowers that are a very dark pink, almost red.

Love the Hawthorn.

Balcony,
Red, purple, orange, maroon and pink are the most common flower colors here. These colors like the heat here.

Andy, it would be fantastic to see some of those colours here! Our Hawthorn wouldn't be able to put up with the heat you have over there! By the same measure your Hawthorns wouldn't like our colder weather either! 😂
