Purple leaf ornamental Plum.
Flowering always on time...... April 1, before leaves appear.
It is a focal point at this time of the year.
I estimate that this is about 50 years old tree. The house was build in 1970. and there are few trees planted around from that time . They are listed everywhere as short lived. I planted another one near our "Treehouse". .....a guest house we call "treehouse" because it is uphill and we see it (from our residence) in the trees.

Beautiful tree. The blossom around here has been fantastic on all the different trees. Our apple blossom is yet to come out. The bees are all on standby as they keep on going and having a look.
