I've broken my vow and picked flowers from the garden.

It feels wrong, somehow, doesn't it? It's my OH who persuaded me to cut some last summer and I enjoyed having them inside the house. Yours is a very attractive mix, Meadow.

I’ve never wanted to do it either, Julia, because there aren’t enough. But a small bunch seems acceptable (and I can smell the Thalia as luckily I’m growing it too!).

I never pick flowers for inside, just take broken casulaties.

I am with Sheila..often I don’t have enough flowers to cut for an indoor display...but, why not!! They look lovely indoors, and, if you can, you should enjoy them inside and out!

They are a real breath of spring. Lovely selection from your garden. I don't have enough to cut and bring inside.

They look lovely, and now you can enjoy them at close quarters. I do pick occasionally but only usually a very few at once to make mini arrangements.

If anyone has masses of Hellebores, a few blooms floating in a dish of water looks good and lasts quite well. 🙂.

I always try to take flowers for the house, even if it is just small things. I plan every year for things to be grown for cutting. Cant resist it. I think because my dad wouldn't allow my mum to pick from the garden I do want to. Sort of defiance, though he has been dead for 30 yrs! Says a lot about me I guess.

Snowdrops in a wine glass with moss sitting on a mirror tile is beautiful.

I do this after each storm.
