I liked the colouring on this. I do prefer the green ones. Good old B & M! I've been looking at the prices of larger ones and they are pricey if (like me) you're not too knowledgeable about how to keep them happy.

I do like the green ones too, Ange. I’ve a large one that seems to be both green and purple leaf - initially it was the purpureum, and it’s since taken on both colours?
I have to say I’m pleased the acers are the one thing we seem to grow well in the garden despite their sensitivity.
Between acers and tree ferns, it’s a big leap of faith as they’re pricey. Thankfully my 2 tree ferns are ok too..fingers crossed 🤞

Yes, Kate, there's nothing more dispiriting than watching a favourite shrub or tree linger and die, especially after you've parted with serious cash for them!

Klahanie, I have lost 2 of these small ones over the last 4 years, but at least at this cost I can take it on the chin! They are tricky little ....... as you say.

Lovely selection of Acers. Hope they do well for you Ange.
Mine are leafing up now, and I've cut off one or two stems that are touching and overlapping.
