Attractive acer foliage.

The pergola acts as a good frame for the plants, I think. I love the contrast of the red rhododendron flowers. So pretty!

Thank you, Klahanie, I’m pleased you like the overall effect in this tiny corner. This acer was in a pot a few years back next to the pond..decided to try it planted out.
The little cider pot did have a small hebe in which had died so I’ve resited a fern into the pot...hoping it ‘springs into action’ soon.

Looks really Japanese with the end of the pergola there. I love the Acers and they are so colourful at this time of year with all the new leaves sprouting.

Thanks Linda, I think it sort of subconsciously evolved into a Japanese styled corner, which I'm pleased with.
Have to agree, they are looking pretty spectacular at the minute aren't they! Think acers are definitely a favourite on the site.
