A very tenacious day lily. Ubiquitous from New York to Rhode Island and resistant to every pathogen known to man. It will grow in shade or sun, wet or dry and all kinds of soil. I gave up trying to fight it. At the very least - it's edible.

All parts of the plant are edible but the most favored are the buds just before they open.

Thank You. I agree it is an attractive lily, but it's very aggressive and will quickly take over a bed and choke out all other plants. It pops up in places I didn't plant it and knows no bounds. It needs constant taming and cutting back. Its everywhere.
