Beautiful shrub, Shirley! 😃 I think you have just identified a couple of bushes growing in the gardens of the church I attend! For years I've wondered what they were called! I even took a couple of close up pictures to put in a question on GoY - but I forgot all about them!

That's good news David - some Escallonias have fairly shiny leaves - very attractive shrubs in my opinion.
