it is either a small skipper or a Essex skipper.
if the antennae are orange underneath its a small skipper if black underneath it is an Essex skipper. either way its a butterfly.

Goodness I was thinking it was a day flying moth Sbg. The skippers aren't often seen here,
so a real treat Linda.

Thanks Waddy, SBG and Janey. We had this visitor last year as well. Yes, you're right SBG it's a Butterfly, and a sweet little one too. It liked the perennial wallflowers and Lavender.
