It sure is Julia. Your new garden is well underway. You inspired me to get my own lacecap hydrangea - I got 3. I think it's time to revamp my entire garden.

I have two Hydrangea in my new garden. I hadn't a single one in my old garden. Happy gardening Paul! :-))

Thanks both , Paul the common name for this is Balloon flower, probably because the new buds about to bloom look like little balloons you can just see them behind the open flowered one ...

Yes Amy I think you're right. We made the decision to move in November and moved on 1st April (it originally was supposed to have been late February) so the wrong time for cuttings or splitting.
I only brought half a dozen plants with me, which were already in pots and a couple of cuttings which were cosseted.

We moved in January Julia I did put as many plants in pots as I could see late autumn which as you know is not a good time as most plants have died down by then in which case you can't see them or know where they were ... .

Shame Kate , we can only do as much as our ground will allow ..
