The manager wasn't very practical for the pretty clematis...so it has been replaced by a Garden Heritage pot(just love that make) and pansies planted up.Looks much tidier there too.The potted Ageratums are still producing masses of flowers....a must for next year.

That looks really lovely Meadowland. We have an Acer of about the same age in a pot. They are very adaptable. I give mine a feed now and again.

Thank you Julia, it is a beauty. Mmm...on that then, the position won't be suitable really.
Going to have to rethink!
Linda, even though they're deciduous, it's a very cold spot too. I love them, so pleased yours is doing well for you..

Maybe not Julia. The raised bed will be quite large, the foot print is of an Anderson shelter that had been there during the war.
I can.plant in it or have potted plants on it.
Lots to think about, I'm having the whole area at the back of the cottage redone..:))

I love the ‘heritage’ pots too, Julia. I’ve a few dotted around. This one you have in place of the manger is a lovely update.

Love the ageratum Julia, very pretty against your brickwork...
I want to pick your brains..:) seeing the lovely potted Acer, does it get much sunlight?
I'm hoping to try an upright type and a more umbrella shaped one in a new raised bed I'll be having. The issue is that they will be positioned in the shade, sunlight (if we have any!) early mornings in the summer. What do you think? I love this one you have. And the figurine in front..
