Sun flower

So cheery aren't they. I am drying the seedheads of my sunflowers to get the seeds for the birds.

Can't help the feeling that giant sunflowers are intelligent - don't you think it looks as though its considering something?

I remember the one in Bill and Ben the flowerpot men. I was only a toddler, but remember seeing it on a black and white t.v. in another house, as we didn't have a tv set till I was nine.

We let the sunflowers grow where they wanted from the bird food and six grew behind the beans to six foot with huge heads. when we took the beans down they were left swaying around, and didn't do too well in the wind. Super flowers though.

Certainly is a very bright and cheerful sunflower! Love the colouring on this one too.

Can you still remember the flowerpot mens' song Linda?

Some of it Sterra....Bill and Ben, Bill and Ben, Flowerpot men, flowerpot men.....and at the end it's goodbye Bill Goodbye Ben. I seem to remember that Bill and Ben said something like "Flobablob little weed," and the sunflower replied, "Weeeed!"
