Interested to see the variety of snails 🐌
However, I usually don't take much notice Linda as I usually do a "Shirley " and send then on holiday by airmail!!

We have several different ones here Kate and I don't like putting pellets down as we have thrushes and other creatures that eat them.
Flying snails eh kate...LOL.

There are many types of snails. They all do the same damage.
The stripy ones are called Sepia nemoralis. I remember learning about them in school (about 100 years ago !)

There are some beautiful different colours and patterns with their shells Hywel. I remember that we had many classes to go to in a day Hywel. Lots of different lessons too. Needlework was one of my worst subjects and so was science. I came bottom of the class one year and then I studied hard the next year and got top marks. I must have been very lazy. We had English, Literature, French, Maths, Geography, History, Art, Music, Domestic science, where we learned to iron, cook, set a table correctly, and fold the clothes properly, and games with netball, rounders, and the last few months of school, tennis. I always liked History and enjoyed drawing the people with different costumes, and always enjoyed writing essays.

That's a lot of subjects Linda, it's nice that you enjoyed drawing.
I also learnt how to iron and fold clothes and set a table correctly but not in school, I learnt from my mother. My father taught me how to build a shed and about astronomy.
I learnt very little in school, was always near the bottom of the class. I learnt about plants from my grandmother, I take after her but my father was not interested in gardening at all. He grew vegetables because it was the done thing in those days but he never enjoyed it like his mother and son :D

Hywel, you say you didn’t learn much at school, but I’m amazed that you remember sepia nemoralis after 100 years, lol!
