Days are cooler..its a tossup if it makes full open blooms.
Three cuttings I started from brother in law in Florida.
They have grown very fast compared to my Celadine..these are ready to flower and are also branching much younger than Celadine.

Good luck! I’ve had my plumerias bloom in December there once.
Here my plumerias are still flowering. They’re all winding down, though.

Thanks all..fingers crossed. More rain today but warming soon. I was never sure if it would ever bloom as some Plumeria people say sometimes you get one type and it can go years with no bloom especially pot grown.
Great new thumbnail photo Kate!

Plumeria definitely do much better in the ground.
It’s going to be in the 80’s and 90’s here over the next 6 days.

Hayward is up to 5" or so..usually we average an inch or so this time of year. 4" fell in one storm. Hills have greened.
They had looked so dry by mid October that they were not golden..they were brown as the annual grasses had decayed nearly completely and you could then see the dirt.
Now,green.
This week should be sunny and in the 70's ( 22C and more)..a break.

I heard about all the rain. It’s very good news.
It’s been 90 to 95 degrees here since last Wednesday. Downtown SD broke records Friday 92 and tied yesterday at 87 degrees. Today was the last day of the heatwave. Yay!

It's still slowly opening. I can't tell if it's going to be a small diameter bloom or just takes long to really reach full size. But it's looking to be white throat with reddish pink petals.
The weather here took a turn to mildly warm so still possible to see it near full bloom.

It may bloom.
It’s been very warm here in SD. It was 80 degrees here today.

It's been about 70f here and they say all next week. But!..I touched one of those Plumeria blooms-- and it fell off. The nights are longer and at 50f (10C) its just cool enough to make the flowers either very slow to open..or they will fall off before making it.
I just checked weather channel and we might come very close to record warm. 71 today would be just shy of the record 72f. 71f would be nine degrees warmer than the average for this time of year.
The change has been so fast.

Years ago, they would say "Its going to be cloudy and 58f in the bay area and in Los Angeles a sunny and warm 71f". So,I moved south without moving..

We’ve had many days in the 80’s over the last 3 weeks. It appears the temps will stay above normal through the middle of December. What’s most concerning is the extremely dry conditions here and throughout California. We desperately need rain.

Yesterday we set a record of a sunny 73f. Almost amazing is that my Mango tree's are flushing on December 2nd. I never since I started various Mango tree's..bought or seed grown, remember them flushing in December.

That’s amazing! It’s definitely been very warm Fall.
I know yesterday Ramona broke the record at 86 degrees.
I’ve seen mango trees flush growth in December here in SD. The leaves can take a beating if cool weather returns. They like warm nights when they’re flushing growth.
My mango tree is almost 8’ tall now. It really took off this year and it wasn’t even a very hot summer.

That's the kind of fall it's been. Very un bay area. Not just warmer but also the lack of November rains after a record wet October,so plants had a boost with deep watering and then we warmed up. Arizona set a few records also.
I like the warm..but I would really wish for another pineapple express to get us going again.
btw my King palms look the best i've seen them. The warm October rains still working.
"Warm october rains" sounds like a song..

It really has been a very strange weather year. We had good rains in late September and early October, then no rain at all. Hopefully, we’ll receive some rain sometime next week.
That’s great your king palms look terrific! They definitely love water. My Alexander Palms are not looking so good. They need more water.

The Plumeria flowers didn't get any further in development. To many long cool nights. I think the Hollies sang a song like that...

What else?
See who else is growing Plumeria rubra (Atabaiba Rosada).
See who else has plants in genus Plumeria.

I'll keep everything crossed for you, Stan. Its a very attractive capture, the big shiny green leaves are lush. The flowers look to be a vivid colour..lovely. Looking forward to seeing them open.
