Happy Thanksgiving to GoY

Happy Thanksgiving to GoY

So much to be thankful for this year. Where do I begin?! I know...we are still here. We have another day! Now I have to do research.... It was the Roman poet Horace who expressed the idea that one should enjoy life while one can. Carpe Diem - seize the day. He only verbalized the tenacity of the human spirit what we've all known all along. Anyway...we still have more living to do!

Thank Anget. Hope all is well on your side of the 'pond'. The doll clothes you made are bound to make some little girl very happy.

Happy Thanksgiving, Paul, to you and yours! 🙏🏻🍎🍞
I, too, agree. We have so much to be thankful for, especially this past year.
It’s my OH’s birthday today…I did do him a lovely meal, but I had to shoot out to yoga afterwards!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving Paul. Every day is special and we have a lot to be thankful for. From our farmers who grow our food to the nurses and doctor's who care for us, and all the people who do other jobs like keeping our supplies going. We are richly blessed. God bless....Linda.

Klahanie - Thank you! We had delicious turkey club sandwiches for lunch - of course with bacon! For dinner, porterhouse steaks were the main event. That's the steak to choose if you can't decide between filet mignon & New York strip - you get both! It's wonderful and refreshing to get together with friends & family just to enjoy each other and the food. Cellphones go off and are stored in the front closet for the day.

Kate - Thank you very much. I really appreciate your comment. Now I have to ask the question everybody wants to know - What meal did you prepare for your husband? We had turkey club sandwiches, then porterhouse steaks for dinner at my house. Now holiday shopping is in full swing. Who knows when I'll ever see them again?! Are you enjoying your yoga classes? I took yoga classes way back in high school. My instructor twisted me up like a pretzel on a bath towel and I had to stay that way as he read "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" by Richard Bach. Yes, the whole book! You can laugh if you want to, but that was the end of my migraine headaches.

Thank You Sheila. We had a wonderful day with friends and family visiting. The weather was cool, sunny and brisk - just as November should be. I love the cool weather now especially after that dreadfully hot summer. There is nothing worse than being stuck in a traffic jam in New York City in August. It's so nice to just stay home for a day and have everybody come to me. That's was a great Thanksgiving! I hope day is just as fine.

Yes Linda I have to agree...those wonderful sanitation people who pick up my garbage from in front of my house twice per week. Come rain, snow, sleet, whatever else. They are out there, but I never see them, but my garbage is gone! I don't even know who to thank! Where would we be without them? Well this year I'll be waiting up for them with a Christmas bonus and maybe a glass of eggnog. Thank you Linda. I hope your holiday is very special.

What a story Paul! I’m glad your instructor cured your migraines, but what a strange way to do it. Great book though!

Yes Sheila, I still wonder why he read that book. I think his lessons on how to stay focused, releasing negative energy & meditation all played a part. It worked for me.
