Precocious Eranthis?

Precocious Eranthis? (Eranthis cilicica)

Only the one Winter Aconite so far this year. This is the clump? under an Azalea. The clump of E. hyemalis behind the front wall, no sign yet. The sword shaped leaves are itinerant self seeded Libertia peregrinans. They will need to be gently eased out.

That’s interesting Sue. I love Libertia peregrinans but mine has yet to have any seed whereas L. Grandiflora has masses!

I only had one showing earlier this week but there's now about half a dozen. We're inching our way towards spring

I've some libertia too, I do like the little flowers it produces. I haven't any aconites now, although I did have a lovely clump from a patient many years ago...

My Libertias don't seem to go dormant. Spring seems around the corner, one of my Robins has been collecting nesting material.

Dd, I think you gave me some of your excess Libertia some while ago. Thank you.

See who else is growing Eranthis cilicica.

See who else has plants in genus Eranthis.
