I started with one and they have gradually spread. Not a neat area, so much needs cutting back, especially sedums in this bit, but it will wait till the weather warms up and the insects have left the shelter of various stems.

I think winter can make everyone’s garden look a bit sad at times…but, yours is looking good, Ange! Hellebores really do make the garden look pretty in the colder months, then the snowdrops and others are popping up and before we know it, everything is looking grand again.

Love these green ones Ange. The GCs love to stock the pretty flowered ones, but I've not seen this type for sale at all.

Thanks, ladies for your comments. Not everyone appreciates simplicity!
They're not so obviously appealing, Janey, but I like the simplicity of these and the other green types. And the bees love them too so that explains their expansion!

So do i Ange. I have spotted them in one or two old gardens here. I must admit I prefer their form and leaf and so do the bees obviously!..:)

I really love hellebores. Ours tend to grow in an untidy way but I still love them!
