Sweet pea seedlings. An experiment!

I bought a pot of sweet pea seedlings yesterday.
I want to try an experiment to see how early I can get my first sweet pea to flower!
I haven't even planted my own sweet pea seeds yet but 'Monty' tells me to plant them in the autumn which I never do!
They are on the bedroom window sill to prevent damage from possible mice in the greenhouse!

I do hope they thrive for you, Chris…the flowers and fragrance will be lovely!

They’re in nice deep pots so hopefully will do well … good luck with your good idea!

I am sure they will do well Chris! I haven't grown them this year as we go away three times a year, a week each time and feel my neighbour has enough to look after when we are not here!

Thanks everyone for your encouragement! They had very strong roots when I potted them up so they should be ok! I do love sweet peas but ours never do all that well for some reason!

I was just thinking, I must sow some of my vegetable peas soon indoors, to get a continuation.

Siris - yes, now the real garden jobs begin for another year!!
Amy - I really like everlasting sweet peas but do love the scent of the others!

Exactly Chris, but I’m hoping my perennial sweet pea seeds will germinate as they are less trouble than the lovely scented ones 🙂.

Chris, their roots will grow very long. For the first time in many years I'm not sowing seed of Sweet Peas, possibly none at all as I'm finding it all quite tiring . . . :o(
