I’m really liking these plants, Sheila. Julia posted one last week. Lovely texture and colour!

They are really lovely.

I have one in a pot that my grandson chose about 7 years ago. I keep it in a pot because I was told it was a thug in the border. Is it?

Thanks Kate and Chris. Not always Sheila … this is 2 years old and had one sucker last year which I dug up and planted elsewhere 🙂.

I think I will plant it out in the top order and see how it goes, I love the coloured leaves in spring and summer but it looks so pathetic through the winter in the pot and it hardly has any flowers in summer.

These are a lovely shrub but can produce a lot of underground suckers. I keep mine in a large pot. They produce wonderful colour. I give it a feed now and again. Really lovely.
