Camellia "Jury's yellow."

Camellia "Jury's yellow."

I like Jury's camellia and this was on my list until I found that it has one flaw....it does not drop it's flowers when they are over making it unsightly. I ignored them in GC for years ...until this year, I bought one anyway. It is very showy with large flowers I will have to pick them when they are over (still small).
On the other hand maybe I will not have to worry as 3 camellias I bought last year mysteriously died. All in the pots but we did not have harsh winter and I protected them from rains. So this year I bought 3 new ones. Although, not the same breed.

I’m liking the creamy yellow centre..hoping it thrives, Klahanie. It’s a very pretty one.
It’s unusual you lost 3 others. Hoping your new ones do well and flower abundantly.

A couple of years ago my son & his wife bought me a Peony to put on the balcony. It flowered two years in a row but not last year. When I was looking through my pots a few weeks ago I decided to empty the pot out to see if it was still alive - alas, it had rotted! I was quite upset.

Sorry wrong plant! A case of mistaken id (or a senior moment!) πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Anyway this is a lovely Camellia!
