Suffering from the heat a bit. Last year I pruned hard and got very few flowers. This year merely a haircut and this is the result. Still very few insects on it.

I have 2 other colours and I did the same to them, Bloomer, and they are all covered in flowers even if a bit droopy and yellow. They're all shorter varieties, don't know if that's anything to do with it.

It's looking lovely,Ange.. I have a similar one,behind the fence,which is what we call the Wildife area,and I planted a cutting there a long time ago. I was always led to believe they should be pruned back hard in spring,which is what I've been doing every year,but it's never looked as good as this one of yours. Time to have a rethink about the pruning regime then ?
