A wet patio!

No rain here ... grey sky and so horribly muggy ... :o(

No rain here yet but we keep hoping. Temps a lot cooler today and we’re sitting outside now at 8.00pm 🙂.

Where is our rain, garden looks terrible.

The scent on the air from the damp ground after it had rained was so nice!

8.30am ... we have steady rain ... hooray!!!

Julia, 2pm now and we have returned from 'Puppy sitting' at daughters to find both water butts are full to the brim ... :o)

We've been in Norfolk for 2 weeks and it was like being in the Med. It started to pour yesterday afternoon and was damp this morning. Doesn't look like much has fallen at home but it's lovely to be cool - far more English!!

Can you believe that a couple of football pitches in mid Sussex are waterlogged! Standing water from so much rain on such dry ground.

Meadow, the garden is terrible, but I have decided there is nothing I can do to make it better so I am resigned! Thames Water are putting on a hosepipe ban next week to make things even more difficult - I don't know how they have the nerve considering the number of leaks (but mustn't get started or I won't stop! And we mustn't get into politics...)
