My friend Jo came for lunch today and brought me a prettily wrapped bunch of flowers from her garden. Love the personal touch.
We managed to have lunch in the garden, sunshine and a cooler 22 degrees.

They did enjoy their time there, although, unfortunately, she said the hotel was a bit disappointing...pool was closed for some work to be done. She said she'd wished they had let them know prior to going. All in, lovely area!

How lovely that your friend still has plants in flower, makes it far more personal. I couldn't give anyone flowers from my garden at the moment - none there to speak of because of the continued drought here! Can't remember the last time we had any significant rain.
We liked the New Forest when we had a couple of days visiting, but as elsewhere in the country the bottlenecks made some driving a pain..

Ange, she has her bath water pumped out into a water butt of sorts. So, she has a continuous supply of grey water...she "did" hose too prior to the ban.
I think there are still a lot of people doing staycation holidays...such a lot of folk travelling around our small island(s)...

Thank you, Julia. Yes, it was a pleasant temperature! It was nice to have a good catch up. She's just had a few days at The New Forest. Xx
