I agree ! I am going to put more drought tolerant and sun plants in for next year in my front border as a lot of the perrenials were so stressed by the hot weather.
I also have sedums in the front path border but need to remove some of the other plants after looking at yours and seeing how neat it is.

Thanks Josie and Rose ... my only issue is with the bare soil near the lawn. Bark chippings were laid, then OH realised the mower sucks them up when he cuts the grass! I need to plant some ground cover but have yet to decide quite what!

I use gravel Shirley as it also keeps the cats and fox off!

Rose, that's a good plan but OH always mows so close to the edge of the grass so I'm sure it would suck that up too! I bought some Ajuga plants yesterday and am hoping that may help ... :o)

Looks a very pretty border, Shirley…love the colouring too. My very tall sedum - one of your cuttings - is ready to bloom. It’s a bit late due to ‘transplantation’ earlier on.

These plants look so good together. It’s a lovely border.

Kate, when it does eventually flower, the Bees and Hoverflies will be all over it!
Thanks Hb, I did wonder if it might look a bit insipid, perhaps too much grey-green, but I quite like it now.

It’s looking very good, neat & tidy. Nice to have plants which are low maintenance.
