American Robin still around.

American Robin still around.

It is a partial migrant , they move short distance to wintering grounds farther south but not too far. They come back very early in the spring.
I love these birds. They follow me around when I water and expect me to throw them a worm when digging.

Sounds very like our English Robin … very tame and always hungry for worms!

A smartly turned-out chap! He's attractive!

Sheila's right about the Robins. They are very friendly birds and very bold as well.

I love the winter song of English robins. Do the American ones have lovely voices?

thank you Klahanie! See if you can find a recording of your robin's winter song and you will see why we love him! He also acts much tamer than any other of our birds and will fly down when we are digging in case we unearth a worm.

Yes, very much like our little native robins, such lovely birds.
