How topical, as I saw Wasps by the Fuchsia 'Lady Boothby' yesterday and around the Crab Apples.

The wasps have taken a lot of the aphids from our roses.
We always put a shallow dish of water with one or two stones in for our bees when we kept them.

I've not seen too many wasps this season. I put out bowls of pebbles and water when the drought was on and they were used a lot.
