Synsepalum dulcificum - Miracle Berry Fruit Tree

Synsepalum dulcificum - Miracle Berry Fruit Tree (Synsepalum dulcificum - Miracle Berry Fruit Tree)

My larger 2 1/2 ft tropical Miracle fruit tree. It’s full of flower buds, but they’re very tiny buds and flowers. Photo taken Jan. 9, 2023.

Thanks. It’ll look quite pretty. Haven’t heard of this plant. Will you plant it out eventually?

Kate,

It’s call miracle berry because the fruit makes anything you eat that is sour very sweet.

Yes, it’ll be planted out soon. It’s a very tropical shrub or small tree, but grows well in San Diego as long as it’s given sulfur and acid fertilizer. It must have a low ph soil.
