Your plants look exceptional! How is the horribly cold weather affecting them?

My friend in San Jose said it snowed on the top of Communication Hill (440 ft or 134 m) in San Jose today. That’s pretty amazing!

I'm loving the jungle! Looks pretty lush and stocked full of wonderful plants, Stan.
Thin it out if you may, but, not too much, it looks effective! 👍

There used to be little pathways,now,its all "push through" to get around the small backyard. Spring and warmer I will deal with it.
Funny thing about the snow is that my low temps this week are warmer than last weeks pre Canadian air. We had howling winds a few days ago and that roughed up some plants,removed a few Ti leaves.
Just waiting for that warm forecast and it won't happen until mid March say the long range predictions.

I bet you can’t wait for the warm weather to return!

It was relatively mild here, but turned cold then all yesterday and night until 5:00 am this morning it was around 60 degrees, then the cold front came through and now it’s an extremely cold 52 degrees here in the middle of the day.

We had horrible winds on Tuesday to about 65 mph and all day yesterday from 25 to 55 mph until the rain came in at 5:00 am this morning. It kept us up most of the night with rattling the garage doors and windows. All my plants are so extremely wind-blown. There’s so many downed trees all around SD County. This is very usual for San Diego.
It’s been a pretty tough winter here.

This has been the worst frost free winter ever. We needed the rains and we got them all right. Remember,this is an El Nina year..dry and warm and all that. I'm not sure I even believe anymore in El Nina and El Nino...could be any year.
I see the Huntington got snow and was closed today because of rain and winds. SF set a record low of 39 on the 23rd..just such a wild frost free year.

There’s several other weather phenomena going on in the world this winter. I read this back in October, even though it’s a La Niña year, the experts said they weren’t sure what was going to happen this winter (weather wise). Well, we know now.

The other day in downtown San Diego the low was 39 degrees (that’s a huge story, because you know downtown SD very rarely gets below 45 degrees, and especially rare this time of year (54 degrees is the normal low). Very, very crazy weather!

We had three brief sunny days- not especially warm either and now its showers and rains pretty much into the third week of March. We are only just ending nighttime temps into the 30F's..but I see one 39F called for on Wednesday.
I will say this- my Aloes are blooming better than ever with the constant wet. I can't explain that.
