Wildflowers

Wildflowers have been flowering all around Southern California since early February. Many areas of California have had 2 to 3 times their seasonal rainfall this year. It’s been a huge relief from the extreme drought. Photo taken March 24, 2023.

It’s been a while since the last super bloom. I think I went out to see it last time. It’s about about a two hour drive from here.

They must look spectacular! 100s of 1,000s of plants all blooming at the same time would be a marvellous sight! 😃 Looking forward to seeing some photos, Andy! 😃

It’s not very uncommon for the “Grapevines” mountains to have snow and get closed. They’re relatively low at 4,100 ft, but during cold storms it does snow up there…although, usually not too much snow.
The desert will have a super bloom this year. I’m planning a trip out there very soon.
