Klahanie, these were on 50% off at a DIY/Garden store and I can't resist a bargain ... :o)

It’ll be gorgeous Shirley … nothing lifts the spirits like a flowering cherry!

Sheila, the Crab apple tree has buds forming, so blossom before too long. Now I need to think where I can plant this ... :o)

You've bagged some good bargains, Shirley! We bagged another acer on our visit to the GC, but it definitely wasn't a bargain :-( (Pretty, though).

Ange, we went to a DIY/garden store for a water butt, but the 210 litre ones had such heavy lids with a locking device that we passed on it. There were many shrubs, climbers, plants being marked down up to 50% off so I couldn't resist ... obviously!

Well, a little self-gifting will ameliorate your disappointment at not getting the water butt, Shirley ;-)

A pretty find, Shirley. I'm sure you'll find a perfect place to plant it in the garden. Good to know it's an early bloomer too.

Ange, it certainly did! I suppose we shall have to look around for a different design of water butt ... how dreadful to have to visit some garden centres for one! ... :o))

Kate, this one has been planted and is certainly being watered in today!

I can imagine, Shirley! Looks like a wet week here..
We’ve 2 water butts. One behind the log shed at the lower end of the bund and another on the wall of the house at the side we don’t use as often as the other. It’s a slim one, large but useful for us as we’ve limited space. It’s a specialist one, but, it’s so good for us. Why do they ,are things so difficult for people though, the one you looked at sounds like one many people would decide against.

Kate, I think many folk are installing water butts now, who knows if it will be a drought year or not? We have a slim-line one which catches rain water from the back gutters, then there were two, side by side, larger ones until one cracked and leaked! They catch the rain water from the garage guttering, well the garage is so small that it's used as a shed!
