Within days, it had appeared. Hopefully it’ll last long enough to open up and spread out nicely before the critters start to munch!

Thank you, Linda. I noticed yesterday, it's opening out nicely...however, one tiny nibble spotted :-(

I try not to put slug pellets down Kate as we have hedgehogs around. Five visited us the other night. I still do a LIN'S Diner with water and feed every night for them. I sometimes have to sweep up after them though. We caught them on our night camera.

We don't use anything I have to admit, Linda. We just wing it and hope for the best.
We used to have hedgehogs frequently visiting the garden, but not for a while, sadly.
You are kind, making sure they're well looked after, the reward is having them visit every night and you can enjoy them munching down on slugs and slimy pests!!!

Your Hosta is doing well Kate. Watch out for the snails...I saw a large snail when I cut my Christmas rose back last week. My Hostas are just points coming out of the ground at the moment. Lovely plants to have.
