I love chamaecyparis... my Siberian Cypress is a chamaecyparis isn't it?
in summer the SC is a lovely lacey medium green but in the cold time it is a bronzy red... wonderful evergreen!

bit confused here between Chamaecyparis and Microbiota... is this a taxonomic system difference...have I confused two totally different shrubs?

Lori, Same genus - Cupressaceae, different species Chamaecyparis lawsoniana and Microbiota decussata which is your Siberian or Russian cypress.
