Steps to nowhere

Took this pic yesterday. OH took a small fence down to the left of the steps and planted a fern and one of 2 Euonymus Harlequin.
The fence had a pyracantha and a clematis Montana on it.
It was untidy. The Montana has been planted in a better spot.
Trying to improve the step area.

Thanks, Julia. I used to hang a seed feeder above the steps, but I hated the pigeons pooing everywhere and generally being a nuisance. So, we’re trying to reinvent this small area.
