Every year this this Amaryllis is blooming in summer.
This picture is taken from outside (plants are inside)
Very pretty blooms but do not last for long.
The big leaves belong to an avocado I grow from a pit.

Good to see your Amaryllis in flower, Klahanie. I've had them flowering in practically every month of the year! If left to their own devices they will normally flower in April but as they are very easy to manipulate they can flower at any time of the year. Those that flower at Christmas are forced bulbs, like Hyacinths & Paperwhite Daffs.
I've always preferred them to flower when they are ready, but I have also started them off later at times & therefore they have flowered later as a result.
